Since 1979, Janara became certified as a nutritionist and herbalist from the Dr. Roger Williams School of Nutrition Science, and a certified Clinical Herbalist from New Dimensions in Herbal Healing. Janara studied 5-Element Theory and Ayurveda with Dr. Vasaant Lad in New Mexico, becoming certified at the Ayurvedic Institute in WA. She has accumulated over 1000 hours of classical homeopathy and clinical training, and received her certification in Microcurrent Therapies for pain and injury from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley and MMT Micro current Therapy. Janara holds a Medical Esthetician License since 1989.

Seasons Studios (http://www.seasonsstudios.com) has released two new APPs for the iPhone and iPad based on two of their children’s books: Blimps and Whales, an endearing story about the environment told through the eyes of a blimp and a whale and Count Broccula, The APP that teaches kids to eat their broccoli! You can purchase the books by the same name on the Seasons Studios web site or the APPs on itunes.com. Seasons Studios will be announcing a new APP for the iPhone and iPad based upon Anatomix Comix, the Kids comics that teach anatomy and physiology in fun engaging comic style books and soon APPs.

The site will be populated with engaging content, articles and health tips and we hope that you will visit it often. We have three companies Preventive Medical Center of Marin (PMCM), an integrative Medical Center located in San Rafael for over 25 years; Haas Health Online (HHO) (http://www.haashealthonline.com will replace Dr. Elson’s prior web site as an online magazine format offering health tips, children’s and adult education and speakers on health and wellness, the environment, adult and children’s education and more. You can think of HHO as a source of rich content or online magazine to help you improve your health, wellness and raise your environmental awareness and the place to learn more about children’s and adult’s health and wellness education. Elson M. Haas, MD Works in Ghana With the Global Brigades

Dr. Elson Haas recently traveled to Ghana, Africa to work with his son, Orion, the Director there for the Global Brigades Group http://www.globalbrigades.org. The Global Brigades is the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Since 2004, Global Brigades has mobilized thousands of university students and professionals through nine skill-based service programs to improve quality of life in under resourced communities. November 2011′s Marin Magazine http://www.marinmagazine.com will be featuring a short article in the print publication about Dr. Haas work in Ghana. There will also be an online version on Marin Magazine’s Blog.
